GIANCARLO MAZZUCCHELLI – CEO
Based in Arcisate (Varese, Italy), Miperval is a family-founded manufacturer of metal components, established in 1963 by Carla and Dino Mazzucchelli and today led by their son, Giancarlo Mazzucchelli. What began as a small workshop has grown into a specialised Italian manufacturer serving the fashion and leather goods industries worldwide.
Company History
The name MI.PER.VAL comes from the Italian phrase “Minuteria per Valigeria” (small metal parts for luggage), reflecting the company’s original focus. Since 1963, Miperval has produced hardware for leather goods, bags, belts, shoes, apparel, and luggage, building a reputation for technical skill, reliable production, and Made in Italy craftsmanship.
Having started his journey in the company at just 14 years old, Giancarlo has contributed to Miperval’s development for over fifty years. Under his leadership, the company expanded operations and modernised production while maintaining its family identity and values.
Growth & Capabilities
Miperval has evolved from traditional iron and brass processing to a fully equipped manufacturer with:
- Die casting in zamak (4.0 machines)
- Centrifugal casting for small runs & prototypes
- Microfusion (lost-wax) in brass & bronze
- In-house CNC machining & mold making
- Assembly, finishing & preparation for galvanic treatments
Today, Miperval produces hardware in iron, brass, bronze, zamak, aluminum, and steel, managing nearly the entire production cycle internally. This independence ensures traceability, consistency, and the ability to create custom and bespoke components for brands, designers, and manufacturers.
Family Legacy & Continuity
Throughout its history, Miperval has remained true to its identity: a company that grows steadily, invests with purpose, and builds lasting relationships. The headquarters moved only once—from the original workshop to the current facility, expanded over the years to support modern production needs.
Historic photographs displayed at the entrance of the factory tell the story of a business built on craftsmanship, commitment, and family continuity — a journey that celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2013 and continues moving forward.
Production Evolution
In the early years, Miperval focused solely on iron and brass components. Over time, the company introduced zamak die casting, developed internal mold production for complete traceability, and expanded into brass and bronze processing with dedicated machinery. These investments have strengthened autonomy and created a complete workflow from idea → design → tooling → manufacturing → finishing.
Miperval today is capable of taking an idea from concept to finished metal component — all under one roof.
What can you tell us about the processing cycle? :
At Miperval, every component begins with an idea—either a design created in-house or a concept provided by a client. Our internal team develops the item through CAD modeling, CNC mold making, prototyping, and production. Standard items become part of our collection and can be supplied as-is to manufacturers, brands, or wholesalers.
For bespoke projects, we manage the full development cycle: from drawings and technical adjustments to casting, finishing, and assembly. All components can be supplied raw or galvanised in a wide range of available finishes, thanks to our trusted Italian plating partners. This complete workflow allows Miperval to control quality at every stage and ensure consistent results from concept to delivery.
What is your main strength? :
Our strength lies in the combination of innovation, technical expertise, and full supply-chain management. Miperval continuously introduces new items—designed, engineered, and prototyped in-house—and presents them at international events such as Lineapelle in Milan. Customer feedback supports ongoing refinement in shape, size, and finishing quality.
Because we manage the complete process—CNC machining, Zamak 4.0 die casting, centrifugal casting, microfusion in brass and bronze, 3D prototyping, finishing, and assembly—we offer manufacturing solutions across multiple markets.
Miperval supplies not only fashion hardware for bags, belts, shoes, apparel, and jewellery in brass and bronze, but also technical components, including automotive hardware such as tension buckles, tarpaulin fasteners, and functional fittings.
What are your reference markets?:
Miperval supports brands, manufacturers, and designers across Europe and worldwide in:
- Bags, belts, shoes & leather goods
- Apparel & lingerie components
- Jewellery accessories in brass and bronze
- Technical and automotive hardware
We remain focused on strengthening production capacity, expanding collaborations, and reinforcing our role as a reliable Made in Italy manufacturing partner.
